Demura-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Genbu-Kai is an international organization long in history and steeped in tradition.

In the mid 1960s, Fumio Demura brought his style of martial arts to America, incorporating not only the physical arts but also the virtues of bushido. Currently there are over 50 locations worldwide offering classes in karate-do, kobu-do and batto-do as part of Demura-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Genbu-Kai. When Shihan Fumio Demura passed away in 2023, Sensei Thanh Nguyen and Sensei David Hines were entrusted to continue his legacy. Our main (hombu) dojo is located in Santa Ana, California.
